Making a (new) name for itself

Sometimes a name change is in order. Did you know Google started out as BackRub, and Pepsi-Cola was first marketed as Brad’s Drink? When Delaware Valley Grantmakers hired Maskar Design and Steege Thomson to rebrand the organization, the first order of business was a look at their name.

We interviewed staff and board, defined brand attributes, and covered our walls with potential names and tag lines. And in November 2013, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia was reborn–a new name, logo, and tag line, along with a custom digital presentation of the brand and applications of the new brand to web, social media and collateral.
